Location: Palm Beach, Florida, United States (On-site).
Michelle Farmer Collaborate is in search of a highly organized and creative Buyer to join our team. Your ability to spot trends, stay updated on market dynamics, and negotiate effectively will be key in curating our product assortment and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, new designers, and artisanal products that align with our brand image.
2. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and create new collaborations and partnerships.
3. Assist with seasonal buying plans, including assortment planning, merchandise selection, pricing, and inventory management.
4. Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to optimize profitability.
5. Analyze sales performance data and customer feedback to make informed decisions regarding product assortment and adjustments.
6. Stay updated on industry and competitor activity, continuously monitoring market trends and customer preferences.
7. Collaborate closely with the Visual Merchandising and Marketing teams to ensure effective product presentations and promotional activities.
8. Maintain and accurate records of purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts.
9. Enter purchase orders, coordinate RTVs, and facilitate product transfers between store locations.
10. Work with logistics to ensure all store locations have the appropriate assortment.
11. Generate sell-through and in stock reports to identify selling trends and determine reorder requirements.
12. Travel to domestic and international trade shows, designer showrooms, and events to assist with sourcing new collections and establishing relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Buyer in the luxury fashion industry.
- Strong knowledge of current fashion trends, designers, and the luxury retail market.
- Proven track record of a solid understanding of product assortment planning, financial acumen, and inventory management.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Shopify.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Contribute to the overall success of the boutique, actively participating in team meetings and training sessions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sales Associate in a luxury retail environment, preferably in fashion or high-end accessories.
- Passion for fashion, art, and luxury with a keen eye for design and detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets consistently.
- Exceptional customer service skills, providing a personalized shopping experience to each customer.
- Impeccable presentation and attention to detail, aligning with the brand's aesthetic and image.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as required.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
